A scouting tool for photographers who plan where to shoot. Any genre, any location — city, mountain, coast, anywhere worth photographing.
Viewpoint is an iOS app for photographers who plan their shots before they take them. You drop a pin where you want to shoot, capture spots with their GPS, compass bearing, and EXIF stamped automatically, plan visits around the sun, moon, and Milky Way, and get a push notification when the weather lines up for clear-night, fog, or golden-light photography.
The library, captures, and saved plans work without a connection — they live on your device first and sync when you have signal. Base-map tiles and live weather forecasts need a connection; downloadable offline regions are on the roadmap, not shipped yet.
Viewpoint is built by one person (me, Marcos). The subscription pays for the live weather data, the condition-monitoring backend, photo storage, and the time it takes to keep the app honest.

Short version: Viewpoint collects what it needs to do its job (your account, your spots, your photos, your subscription state) and nothing else. Analytics is opt-in. We don't sell data, we don't run ad networks, and we don't surface anything personally identifying in our analytics or crash reports.
Viewpoint is a paid app with a 7-day free trial. Monthly €5.99 or yearly €59.99, billed by Apple. Cancel any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Your existing captures stay readable on the device even if your subscription lapses.
