Privacy Policy for KineticCut
Effective Date: 2026-06-05
KineticCut is a client-side iOS application built by Marcos Barbero, an independent developer. KineticCut is designed around a single principle: your footage and everything derived from it stays on your device.
1. Information Collection and Use
- No Remote Data Collection. KineticCut does not collect, harvest, or transmit any personal data, analytics, behavioural tracking, or device identifiers. There is no server, no account, and no third-party SDK.
- Local Processing Environment. All application logic — importing videos, analysing motion and aesthetics with Apple’s Vision framework, building the clip ledger, and trimming exports — happens locally within the app’s sandbox on your iOS device. KineticCut makes no network calls of its own.
- Photos / Media. KineticCut reads only the specific videos you select through Apple’s system photo picker. It does not request access to your full photo library, and it never uploads or copies your library; selected videos are read locally and released when your session ends. Exported clips are handed to the standard iOS share sheet, which you control.
2. In-App Subscriptions
The Pro Creator Pass is an auto-renewable subscription managed securely through the Apple App Store framework (StoreKit). KineticCut does not process or retain payment details, financial records, or personal identity information — Apple handles all of that. KineticCut cannot see your Apple Account, your payment method, or your billing history.
3. Children’s Privacy
KineticCut does not collect any data from anyone, including children, and contains no advertising or tracking.
4. Changes to This Policy
Material changes are reflected here with an updated Effective Date.

This document is the canonical privacy policy for KineticCut. It is registered with App Store Connect as the app’s Privacy Policy URL at https://marcosbarbero.github.io/docs/kinetic-cut/privacy-policy/. The public mirror is published via make mirror-docs. Material changes need an updated Effective Date and a paired PR (private source, then public mirror).
