Second Chance
One revive per run, offered only when you die close to something. Free players watch a short video; Premium players simply carry on.
What it does
Dying two fruit from a level target, or ninety points from your best, is the moment a run is worth rescuing. Second Chance offers exactly that — once.
When it appears
- Classic: when your score reaches 90% of your personal best. Never on your first game, when there is no best to be close to.
- Campaign: when you are within two fruit of the level’s target.
It is deliberately not offered on a run that was nowhere near. An offer that appears every time teaches people to dismiss it unread, and then it is worth nothing on the run where it mattered.
Free vs Premium
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| When it is offered | near miss only | near miss only — same rule |
| Revives per run | 1 | 1 — same rule |
| What it costs | a short video | nothing |
| If no ad is available | no offer | offered anyway |
| What you do | tap, watch, dismiss | nothing; it continues on its own |
Paying changes the cost, never the rules. Premium does not grant more second chances or a looser condition — a personal best built on five revives is a hollow record, and that is worth protecting for everyone.
If the video fails to load after you agreed to watch it, you get the revive anyway. An empty ad slot is our problem, not yours.
What a revive does
The snake restarts at the middle of the board with your score, fruit count and speed intact. It does not resume from where you died, for a simple reason: that cell may be a wall, an obstacle or your own body, so continuing from it is not always a legal position at all — and reviving into the exact situation that just killed you is a second chance in name only.
Known limits
- One per run. Taking it twice would make the score board meaningless.
- The free version needs an ad to be available; where none is, no offer is shown rather than a button that promises something undeliverable.
